‘Hemlock Grove’ Star Bill Skarsgard Joins ‘The Divergent Series: Allegiant’

Hemlock Grove‘s resident upir is headed to co-star in The Divergent Series: Allegiant, opposite Shailene Woodley.

Bill Skarsgard, known for playing spoiled vampire Roman Godfrey in Hemlock Grove, has officially joined the franchise, according to The Wrap.

The site is reporting that “Skarsgard is expected to share scenes with fellow franchise newcomer Jeff Daniels, who was just cast as David, the leader of the Bureau of Genetic Welfare. The bureau created the faction-based society in which Tris was living.”

The series also stars Kate Winslet, Theo James, Miles Teller and Ansel Elgort.

The Divergent series has been a box office hit, with Divergent bringing in $150 million in the U.S. and $288 million worldwide and The Divergent Series: Insurgent having cleaned up about $271 million worldwide so far.

Allegiant is scheduled to begin shooting here in Georgia this month, so keep an eye out for our weekly filming update to see when and where you could spot the stars.
