Seth Rogen and Zac Efron will star in an R-rated frat house comedy from Universal Pictures.
Word is that the deal to get the film for Universal was in the seven figures. Rogen and Evan Goldberg will produce through Point Grey Pictures. The seven-figures number was for writers Andrew Cohen and Brendan O’Brien. Rogen will be paid $8 million, with an additional seven-figure producing fee.
Several studios bid on the story, which features Rogen as “a regular guy who lives near an alpha male fraternity house. Efron is a member of the fraternity, whose raucous behavior wreaks havoc on the other guy’s family life.”
It’s said to have a tone similar to ‘Old School’.
