Aerobic Striptease comes to the city that is famous for its “Strip” – in more ways than one – in Carmen’s Electra’s Aerobic Striptease: Vegas Strip. Combining hip, easy-to-perform, dance moves, burlesque and, of course, striptease, Carmen works you through an energetic routine that focuses on strengthening your body and building your confidence.
Carmen Electra’s Aerobic Striptease: Vegas Strip will help you stretch, tone, and give you a saucy little workout while teaching you a Vegas style routine. Carmen’s workout routines are great for viewers who are perhaps new to home video work out routines. She goes through the routines step by step allowing for everything to sink into your memory. All of this I really appreciated, however that’s pretty much where my appreciation ended.
I didn’t really feel that this title was professionally put together. There are moments when Carmen looks slightly awkward and you can’t help but wonder why there wasn’t enough time for them to retake the scene. You can even see her talking at several points below the music that is playing. Not to mention that there are headshots in multiple parts of the routine. Why would we want to see Carmen’s face instead of the routine we’re supposed to be learning? It’s almost as if it’s more a man to watch than for a women to learn. It just had an unfinished element to it that I think could have been polished up a bit more. I also wished they had explored more camera angles, everything seemed very stationary and even a tad dull. The music wasn’t overly appropriate either, I would have liked to have seen the routines paired with actual pop music instead of the computer generated techno that is on loop throughout the whole workout.
There’s a lot of potential there with this collection (there are several more DVDs available with the Aerobic Striptease collection), Carmen is in great shape and should without a doubt have her own workout DVD collection, but I would like to see a bit more put into it in all aspects. You might pick up some sexy moves from this routine, but I’m not sure how much of a workout it will actually provide for you.
