Chris Evans Talks ‘Sexiest Man’ Title, Personal Goals, and How He Picks His Roles

Chris Evans

Chris Evans is People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2022. And while Evans is fully prepared to be mocked by his co-stars for the new title, he admits that he feels weird about the label.

“This whole thing is tough to be interviewed about. It feels like a weird form of humble bragging,” Evans comments on the title. “Really this will just be a point of bullying. It’s ripe for harassment.”

He’s not the only Marvel star to win the award, Paul Rudd took home the title in 2021. Michael B. Jordan claimed it in 2020. Chris Hemsworth received it in 2014. And Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have also graced the cover of People Magazine for their respective years with the title.

However, there is someone that is going to be extra thrilled with Evans’ new title, and that’s his mother, Lisa.

“My mom will be so happy. She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about,” Evans adds.

Chris Evans Is Picky About His Roles

Evans, who is best known for his role as Captain America in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), talked about a number of topics in his People Magazine interview. He also revealed he’s now picking his roles based on their filming locations as he just feels too old to be living out of his suitcase for months on end.

“When it comes to seeking out the people I play it’s more of an issue of where the movie shoots,” Evans reveals. “I’m too old to be living out of a suitcase for six months. And I’ve settled into a nicer phase where I’m just happy being at home.”

Evans Wants to Tie the Knot And Become a Father

When it comes to personal goals, Evans knows exactly what he wants. And that’s to eventually get married and become a father.

“That’s absolutely something I want,” Evans told People Magazine. “Some things you want just for you, or just for my family and my friends.”

Fans of Chris Evans can look forward to seeing him next in 2023’s Ghosted, which will release on Apple TV+. He’s also working on a number of additional projects for Netflix, including Red One and Pain Hustlers.
