Synopsis

From Warner Bros. Pictures comes the feature film Blue Beetle, marking the DC Super Hero’s first time on the big screen. The film, directed by Ángel Manuel Soto, stars Xolo Maridueña in the title role as well as his alter ego, Jaime Reyes.

Recent college grad Jaime Reyes returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not quite as he left it. As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab. When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the Super Hero BLUE BEETLE.

    This movie was originally supposed to be an HBO Max project so I’m really interested to see how good it must be for the execs to decide to put it in theaters instead

    I actually really enjoyed The Flash and that got me on a kick to checkout the animated DC movies – which are pretty good! Had no idea who blue beetle was before but now I’m excited for the movie

    I really wanna see Blue Beetle because we are getting a superhero movie centered around a different DC character! Not too many people know about this character, so it will be good to learn about the character’s origin and see where it takes us next into the DC universe. This is a perfect start to the new DC universe while we wait until the Justice League gets revamped. Please pick me FanBolt!

    This movie is exciting because:
    1. Blue Beetle is an amazing character in the DC universe.
    2. It’s about time for another minority lead besides Black Adam.
    3. The cast and the trailer makes this to be a fun, action filled, and hilarious film!
