A K-drama that puts together music, romance, and some lighthearted comedy? Fans will be quick to sign up for this one. The 12-episode series stars Park Eun-Bin, Kim Hyo-Jin, Chae Jong-Hyeop, Cha Hak-Yeon, and Kim Joo-Hun. Park Eun-Bin is best known for playing the titular character Woo Young-Woo in another popular drama on Netflix, Extraordinary Attorney Woo.

Cha Hak-Yeon is also known to his fans as N from the K-pop boy group VIXX. As an actor, Cha is known for his appearance on Tomorrow, and his role in Bad and Crazy. Actor Chae Jong-Hyeop is known for his roles in Nevertheless and The Witch’s Diner among others. Kim Hyo-jin is known for her roles in the K-drama The Good Detective 2.

Kim Joo-Hun is also known for his role in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, as well as Big Mouth, Now We Are Breaking Up, and Dr. Romantic 3.

The official synopsis reads:

This K-drama features 16 episodes and is already currently on air on Netflix, with new episodes on Saturdays and Sundays. Behind Your Touch stars Han Ji-Min, Lee Min-Ki, Suho, Joo Min-Kyung, and Kim Hee-Won. And its finale is on October 1, 2023.

The official synopsis:

“A veterinarian with psychometric powers and a hot-blooded detective who fall in love with each other while solving minor crime cases in a small town in Mujin, Chungcheong-do.”

Veteran actor Lee Min-Ki is known for his roles in K-dramas like What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim and My Liberation Notes. Han Ji-Min, also a veteran actress, is known for her roles in the K-dramas Hyde, Jekyll, Me, Familiar Wife, and Our Blues among many others. Suho is known for being a member of the K-pop boy group EXO. He is also known for his role in the 2018 K-drama Rich Man.

Another K-drama that is currently on air, The 16-episode Destined With You stars Jo Bo-Ah, Rowoon, Ha Joon, and Yura. The show’s finale is on October 12, 2023, with new episodes every Wednesday/Thursday.

Destined With You “follows a successful lawyer who has everything, but who is plagued by a family curse and turns out that the one who holds the secret to breaking it is the seemingly ordinary civil servant.”

Actress Jo Bo-ah is known for her roles in the K-dramas Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 and Military Prosecutor Doberman. Ha Joon is known for his roles in two seasons of Missing: The Other Side, as well as Insider and Bad Prosecutor.

Rowoon is known for being a member of the K-pop group SF9. He is also known for his roles in Tomorrow, Extraordinary You, She Would Never Know, and The King’s Affection. Yura is also known for being a member of the girl group Girls’ Day. She is also known for her roles in Forecasting Love and Weather and Now We Are Breaking Up.

The official synopsis of the K-drama reads:

“When Joon moves into his new apartment on his first day of college, he wasn’t expecting beautiful ex-celebrity Doona to be living downstairs. Joon tries to avoid her at first but finds himself growing more and more curious about her mysterious life.”

Doona! stars Bae Suzy, Yang Se-Jong, and Lee Yoo-Bi and premieres on October 20, 2023. The romantic drama will have eight episodes. Bae Suzy is known as a member of the K-pop girl group Miss A, as well as her roles in Uncontrollably Fond, Vagabond, While You Were Sleeping, Start-Up, and Dream High.

Yang Se-jong is known for his roles in two seasons of Dr. Romantic. Doona! Also happens to be Yang’s first project since getting discharged from his mandatory military service in 2021.

For fans of period K-dramas, this one’s for you. Song of the Bandits is described as a Korean Western and a “wild action spectacle” by Netflix. The drama is set in the 1920s, following Korean refugees who fled to the “lawless land” of Gando (also known as Jiandao) to escape Japanese occupation. That particular region in China today is known as the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, home to over 800,000 ethnic Koreans.

The synopsis from Netflix reads:

“In the lawless land of Gando, fierce bandits will stop at nothing to fight for their precious homeland and loved ones – even if it means life or death.”

Song of the Bandits was created by Han Jung-Hoon and Hwang Jun-Hyuk. It stars Kim Nam-Gil, Seo-hyun, Lee Hyun-Wook, Lee Ho-Jung, and Yoo Jae-Myung. The series premieres on September 22, 2023, and will have 12 episodes.

Kim Nam-Gil is known for his roles in Memoir of a Murderer and Queen Seondeok. Seohyun is known for being a member of the popular K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation. Acting-wise, she is known for her roles in Love and Leashes and Jinxed at First. Yoo Jae-Myung is known for his performances in the K-dramas Insider, The Sound of Magic, Juvenile Justice, Vincenzo, and Hospital Playlist.

Lee Hyun-Wook is known for his roles in the K-dramas Remarriage & Desires, Mine, and She Would Never Know. Lee Ho-Jung is known for her roles in the K-dramas Moving, Jinxed at First, and Nevertheless.

A Time Called You

The Korean adaptation of the Taiwanese drama Someday or One Day, A Time Called You mixes time travel and romance. The K-drama aired on September 8, 2023, and stars Ahn Hyo-Seop, Jeon Yeo-Been, Kang Hoon, Min Jin-Woong, and Park Hyuk-Kwon.

“Jun-hee, who is still grieving the loss of her boyfriend Yeon-jun in the year 2023, a year after his passing. She somehow travels back in time to 1998 and wakes up inhabiting the body of a different person, 18-year-old Kwon Min-ju. As she navigates this new reality, she meets Si-heon, who bears an uncanny resemblance to her deceased boyfriend, adding to the emotional complexity of her journey.”

Jeon Yeo-Been is known for her roles in Vincenzo, Be Melodramatic, Save Me, and Glitch.
