Five Nights at Freddy’s   (2023)

Rating: PG-13

Release Date: In theatres and Peacock on Friday, October 27, 2023.

Summary: In Five Nights at Freddy’s, a new security guard (Josh Hutcherson) takes his kid (Piper Rubio) to his new job, the night shift at the old, shutdown Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Once upon a time, Freddy’s was the place to be with pizza and animatronic bears singing songs. But something happened to cause the business to close, and the guard and his daughter are about to find out.

What to Watch For: The animatronic characters were performed by the Jim Henson Company puppeteers. A puppeteer controlled the head remotely, even when the characters had to walk or run.

Word on the Street: Director Emma Tammi’s first film was the award-winning horror film The Wind (2018).

My Take: Blumhouse, the company that specializes in horror films and produced this film, has hinted that a secret major character will appear in the movie.
