20th Century Studios has dropped the teaser trailer and poster for the upcoming Alien: Romulus, which promises fans a gripping addition to the revered Alien franchise. Scheduled for release in theaters on August 16, 2024, this sci-fi horror flick marks a significant turn back to the series’ terrifying roots.

A Fresh Encounter with Terror

The storyline has a simple yet harrowing premise: a group of young space colonizers scavenging through a desolate space station find themselves face-to-face with the universe’s most formidable life form. The cast, a blend of emerging stars such as Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu, offer fresh faces to the enduring battle against the xenomorph terror.

Fede Alvarez, known for his gripping work on Evil Dead and Don’t Breathe, collaborates with Rodo Sayagues on the screenplay. And producer Ridley Scott, alongside Michael Pruss and Walter Hill, brings a veteran’s touch to the production, promising a movie that not only respects its heritage but embarks on new thrilling adventures under the direction of director/writer Fede Alvarez.
