Snooki’s New Year’s Ball Drop Canceled

If you’re amped up for a New Years Eve Snooki drop, it looks like you’re out of luck.

2010 won’t end with Jersey Shore diva Snooki dropping out of a ball in Times Square after all. The co-producers of Times Square New Year’s Eve rejected the idea, saying it “came too late and was too impractical to fit in to our outdoor events”.

The Snooki ball was requested for a set-back roof in Times Square, separate from the official New Year’s ball. MTV also planned to feature other Jersey cast members leading the crowd in a massive fist-pumping demonstration to attempt to break a Guinness world record.

No word yet on how, if at all, the cast of Jersey Shore will participate in the festivities.
