The Ghost Blade Announced For The Sega Dreamcast

Hucast Games announced earlier this month that they have a brand new game in development for the Sega Dreamcast. The Ghost Blade is currently expected out sometime this year. Like NEO XYX, which is also coming out this year, the Sega Dreamcast is still receiving a healthy dose of new games long after the console was no longer sold in stores. The Ghost Blade is a shoot ’em up style of game focusing on arcade action joy and an elaborate scoring system.

The game will feature three game modes with three different player ships to choose from. It will even have online leaderboards, scores are entered in manually by code. The game will support both video mode of 3:4 and 4:3 for correct vertical arcade screen size. The game will have several different modes, including a Stage Mode with five stages, a Caravan Mode for 2 or 5 minutes, and a Time Attack mode.

This game joins the ranks of NEO XYX and Pier Solar HD as well as other new Sega Dreamcast games coming out this year. As someone who enjoys new games for retro systems, this makes me excited to see how these great systems of old still have some life in them. If you don’t have a Dreamcast, you should consider getting one. After all, it has plenty of great games to it, both old and new. As well as they are rather cheap. I will have more on this game and other retro games down the road.
