Emily Blunt Almost Breaks Her Own Nose On ‘Edge of Tomorrow’ Set

Co-stars Emily Blunt and Tom Cruise performed many of their own stunts on their new action thriller Edge of Tomorrow, and both sustained various injuries as a result.

In one particularly embarrassing incident, the Devil Wears Prada actress whacked herself in the face during stunt training and required some gruesome medical assistance – the doctor had to stick two fingers up Blunt’s nostrils and re-pop the cartilage.

“I tried to slash my sword through the air and it got caught on one of the wires,” Blunt explained.  “I ended up hitting myself in the face with the butt of it. My eyes were streaming tears.”

Edge of Tomorrow hits theaters on June 6th.
