Shia LaBeouf Charged with Disorderly Conduct Following Broadway Arrest

Shia LaBeouf has been charged with criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct following his arrest during a performance of Broadway’s Cabaret on last night.

The Transformers star caused a stir on the Great White Way while attending the musical, starring Michelle Williams and Alan Cumming, at the Studio 54 theatre.

Reports suggest LaBeouf was smoking inside the venue. Police were called during the intermission and the actor was escorted out in handcuffs.

He was arrested amid allegations of violent behavior and obscene language, and was subsequently charged with criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct.

As the confusion took place last night, Cabaret cast member Danny Burstein commented on the drama in a post on his Facebook page, writing, “Ladies and gentlemen, this is your places call for Act II. Also, to let you know, Shia LaBeouf has just been escorted from the building in handcuffs.”

Tony Award nominated actor/composer Benj Pasek was also took to Twitter, writing, “Just saw Shia LaBeouf in handcuffs in tears surrounded by 6 police officers outside of Cabaret the musical. Oh New York, u is a crazy b**ch (sic).”

The actor has shocked fans in recent months with his increasingly bizarre behavior, including wearing a brown paper bag over his head on the red carpet at the Berlin International Film Festival in Germany earlier this year and setting himself up in a bizarre live art installation in Los Angeles.
