Ed Harris Joins HBO’s ‘Westworld’


Ed Harris returns to HBO(Gravity) after signing on to the network’s sci-fi pilot Westworld as “The Man in Black”.

The series is based on Michael Crichton’s 1973 film, itself centered on a futuristic theme park where robots go berserk and attacks the guests.

Described as “the distillation of pure villainy into one man,” Harris joins the cast as a series regular.The star studded cast already includes Anthony Hopkins, James Marsden, Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Rodrigo Santoro and Shannon Woodward in the pilot.

Harris previously starred in HBO film Game Change and ended up taking home a Golden Globe, as well as an Emmy nomination, for his portrayal of Senator John McCain in the 2012 political TV movie.

You can catch Ed in his next feature film, a crime drama titled Run All Night, alongside Liam Neeson, Common and more, in theaters April 2015.
