Mindy Kaling and Laverne Cox will be among the honorees at the 2014 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York next week.
Orange is the New star Cox will receive The Advocate prize for her work in promoting LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) equality, while Kaling will be named Lady Boss in recognition of her success as the creator, star and producer of her own TV comedy series, The Mindy Project.
Former First Daughter, Chelsea Clinton, will also be recognized as Women’s Champion and author Samantha Power will pick up the Ambassador award for inspiring and empowering women around the world, according to the New York Daily News.
Dame Helen Mirren, Taylor Swift, Nicole Kidman and Cox’s Orange is the New Black co-star Taylor Schilling were among the winners at the U.K.’s Glamour Women of the Year Awards in June.
Superstar Barbra Streisand, Lady Gaga, actress Kerry Washington and education activist Malala Yousafzai were feted at the U.S. ceremony last year.
The Glamour Women of the Year Awards will take place on Monday.
