Rachel Bilson’s ‘Hart of Dixie’ Cancelled by the CW

Rachel Bilson’s series Hart of Dixie has been cancelled by the CW due to poor ratings.

Series co-star Scott Porter alerted fans to the sad news on on Friday, revealing the current fourth season’s final three episodes would be the show’s last, and the finale will air on March 27.

He wrote, “Folks wondering why #HartOfDixie got canned? Simple numbers game folks. Ratings still matter and dictate wins and losses. You have to WATCH.”

And series creator Lisa Gerstein added, “The final three episodes of #HartofDixie begin tonight. Buckle up, I think you will enjoy the ride… No one out there loves #HOD more than me. I would have gone 17 years! But I assure you, we prepared for this… And the finale will be tremendously satisfying to all.”
