One Direction Starting Work on First Album Without Zayn Malik
The remaining members of One Direction are beginning work on their first album without Zayn Malik.
Malik hit headlines last week when he announced he was leaving the group to live like a “normal 22 year old”, and One Direction fans feared for the group’s future.
However, bandmember Niall Horan has taken to Twitter.com to tell his 21.9 million followers that the singers are now heading back to work in the studio.
He writes, “Had a sit down last night with the label, started organizing our writing sessions for the next album! F**kkk yeaaaahhhh (sic)! Can’t wait!”

The news comes after British producer Naughty Boy took to Twitter on Tuesday to release what he claimed is a sample of Malik’s solo work.
