The Latest TV Series to Get the Revival Treatment? ‘Married with Children’

Another oldie-but-goodie TV series is being rebooted! The Bundys could be headed back to TV in a Married with Children revival…and all original members of the family have said they’d be onboard!

Christina Applegate, who played daughter Kelly Bundy in the series, reunited with her MWC brother Bud, David Faustino, at the premier of her new comedy Vacation. That was all it took for the reunion questions to begin, but it sounds like Faustino was already ahead of the curve, revealing he’s developing a “spin-off” of the series.

“Sony has it. They’re excited about it,” Faustino told E!’s Marc Malkin. “They’re working out some legal issues that we hope they work out.”

Married with Children also starred Ed O’Neill (Modern Family) as patriarch Al Bundy and Katey Sagal (Sons of Anarchy, The Bastard Executioner) as his wife Peggy, both of whom also said that they’d be open to returning if the pilot moves forward as well.

“The whole cast, including Christina, is down to do little bits in it,” Faustino said. “The idea would be a pilot for a spinoff. That’s all I can say right now. It involves me and few other people.”

Married with Children debuted in 1987 and aired on FOX until 1997.
