Seth Rogen-Evan Goldberg Pilot ‘Future Man’ Ordered by Hulu

Hulu has ordered a new pilot, Future Man, from funnymen Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

The comedy duo will executive produce and direct the comedy, which follows “a janitor who also is a world-ranked gamer. The guy is chaged with saving the human race from exinction after visitors hailing from the future “proclaim him the key to defeating the imminent super-race invasion,”” according to EW.

The series will be written by Ariel Schaffir and Kyle Hunter. The two previously served as executive producers from two other Rogen and Goldberg films you may have heard of, The Interview and This is the End.

Future Man is the latest TV project for the pair, who have already been tasked with bringing the comic book series Preacher to life for AMC.

Preacher has been our favorite comic since it first came out,” Rogen and Goldberg said in a statement back in December. “Garth Ennis is one of our idols and it’s an incredible honor to be working on this. We promise we won’t make too many dick jokes and ruin it.”

The pilot for Preacher will be produced this summer for series consideration in 2016.
