‘The X-Files’ Event Series to Make US Debut at New York Comic Con

Mulder and Scully are headed to New York Comic Con! FOX announced today that first episode of the highly anticipated X-Files event series will make its debut for US audiences at the convention.

On Saturday, Oct. 10, the network is bringing the first episode in the six-episode event series to the the Main Stage of the Javits Center during the sold out convention and if that’s not enough for you believers, there will be a Q&A with series creator and executive producer Chris Carter (also the episode’s writer/director) and series star David Duchovny.

The episode, titled “My Struggle”, will see the return of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as Agent Fox Mulder and Agent Dana Scully as the pair take on a case of a possible alien abductee.

The new episodes will also feature appearances by some pretty cool guest stars, including Joel McHale (Community), Robbie Amell (The Flash), Lauren Ambrose (Dig, Six Feet Under), Annabeth Gish (The Bridge), Annet Mahendru (The Americans), Rhys Darby (Flight of the Conchords), Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley) and William B. Davis, who reprises his role as the Cigarette Smoking Man.
