Danger Awaits Mulder and Scully in New ‘X-Files’ Promo

Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) are back and ready to get to the bottom of things in a new promo for The X-Files.

“They police us, they spy on us, tell us that makes us safer. We’ve never been in more danger,” warns Mulder in the new video. The trailer goes on to show more glimpses into the series revival than we’ve seen so far, including what looks like a dead alien body being carried by soldiers, Mitch Pileggi returning as Mulder & Scully’s former boss Walter Skinner, and a brief appearance by a man we can only assume to be William B. Davis’ Smoking Man (because, you know, a hand holding a cigarette).

Take a look at the new promo below:

Along with the returning cast, the new season is filled with some great guest stars including: Joel McHale (Community), Robbie Amell (The Flash), Lauren Ambrose (Dig, Six Feet Under), Annabeth Gish (The Bridge), Annet Mahendru (The Americans), Rhys Darby (Flight of the Conchords), Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley).

The X-Files returns to FOX with a special two-night event beginning Sunday, Jan. 24 (10:00-11:00 PM ET/7:00-8:00 PM PT), following the NFC Championship game and continuing with its normal time period premiere on Monday, Jan. 25 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT).

If you want to catch the series premiere earlier than that, then you’d better hope you’re going to New York Comic Con!
