‘Star Wars’ in 3D?

In 2005, George Lucas brought the first reel of ‘Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope’ in 3D to Showest, starting the rumor that the franchise would be getting a 3D re-release. Now, an interview with the Skywalker Ranch’s sound engineers lends credence to that rumor.

Sound engineers Matt Wood and David Acord gave this interesting tidbit during an interview saying, “[Obi-Wan’s roar] sound effect has been changed again. So at some point the audiences will be hearing that scene again with the new sound effect.”
