Nominees Announced for The Game Awards 2016

0

The Game Awards 2016 is less than 2 weeks away as it’s set to take place in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 1st. This year the awards ceremony can be seen in more ways than ever before as it’ll be live on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, Xbox, PlayStation, and VR with the help of NextVR. 63 games have been nominated for an award this year in more than 20 categories.

“The Game Awards is all about celebrating the state of video game art,” said Geoff Keighley, The Game Awards producer/host. “In just a few short weeks we will recognize the most outstanding games of 2016 in unexpected ways, and preview the most anticipated games of 2017 and beyond with the longest, most in-depth world premieres we’ve ever attempted — including surprises and new game announcements.”

It should be an awesome night of celebration for the video game industry. And of course, we are all interested in who will take home the Game of the Year prize between Doom, Overwatch, Titanfall 2, Uncharted 4, and Inside. I must say that I’m heavily cheering for Doom as I spent this past year working at Bethesda on that project. Good luck, guys!
