Blake Lively Joins ‘Green Lantern’

It seems that Warner Bros. have found the female lead for ‘Green Lantern.’ Carol Ferris will be played by Blake Lively (Gossip Girl). Lively beat out both Keri Russell and Jennifer Garner for the role of Ferris, who is the one who hires Hal Jordan (to be played by Ryan Reynolds) to her father’s aerospace company. She eventually becomes a villain, but as yet we don’t know if that will be hinted at in the first movie. Shooting for Green Lantern will begin in March.
