Eddie Murphy Wants ‘The Nutty Professor 3’

According to reports, Eddie Murphy is looking to develop a third ‘Nutty Professor’ movie. ‘The Nutty Professor’ made $273 million worldwide in 1996, while ‘Nutty Professor II: The Klumps’ made $161 million back in 2000. There is no confirmation on Universal’s interest in the film, and it will come down whether or not they see Murphy as bankable. His last two comedies, ‘Meet Dave’ and ‘Imagine That’, were considered flops. ‘Meet Dave’ made $50.6 million worldwide off of a $60 million budget. ‘Imagine That’ made $22.9 million worldwide off of a $55 million budget.
