‘Avengers: Endgame’ Might Just End Us All

Avengers Endgame

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, odds are you’ve taken a look at the new Avengers: Endgame trailer. With the numbers YouTube has reported for views in the first 24 hours, chances are, you’ve watched it more than once. It’s the trailer we’ve all been waiting for since the moment we walked out of the theater (in tears) after seeing Avengers: Infinity War.

So it really comes as no surprise that the trailer for Avengers: Endgame left us all in tears once again.

We’ve had months to prepare for what’s to come, or at least the versions we’ve created in our heads. We’ll lose characters we love, heroes we’ve grown up with over the course of the last 10 years. That is an undeniable fact, it’s going to happen whether we want it to or not.

While we’ve known that for some time now, it didn’t prepare us at all for the 2 minutes and 25 seconds where we saw Tony composing a goodbye to Pepper, an absolutely broken Thor, Steve crying thinking about lost loved ones, and Clint having shed his Hawkeye persona to take on Ronin.

Oh, and that title…of course we know what it is now, but waiting through the duration of the trailer to find out what it was, consider us tortured.

Speculation has already started about what this may mean for our favorite heroes, but the truth is…we won’t know anything until we’ve grabbed our popcorn and coke zero and prepared (to the best of our ability) to cry for almost 3 hours.

We thought it was an accomplishment to make it out of the theater after Avengers: Infinity War in one piece, the real accomplishment will be making it through Avengers: Endgame with little to no emotional damage.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th.
