Captain Marvel Is Done Being Told What She Can’t Do in New TV Spot

If you tuned into the 61st-annual Grammy Awards this evening, you were one of the first to see a few brand new teaser trailers for some of the most anticipated movies of 2019.

One of those films is Captain Marvel, and the 30-second look into the movie has us more excited than ever before.

Not only do we get a look into Carol Danvers’ as a child, and how she’s never been afraid to stand tall and look what she wants square in the eye, we see that same fire within her as she becomes Captain Marvel.

We also see a bit of sass and she says, quite frankly, that she’s done being told what to do.

In the background of the trailer, you get a sense of what goes on in Danvers’ head as she’s told no. This isn’t what you can do, this isn’t what girls should do, this isn’t the road you should take.

The best part about Captain Marvel? She doesn’t care what people think she should and shouldn’t do. She knows what’s within her heart, what light exists there, and she’s going to chase it. She’s going to feel the power and know that it was earned from her unending fight to be everything she ever wanted to become.

What she became is a force to be reckoned with, and one that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is depending on. We won’t know more about what she’s bringing to the table until we see the film, but fans are counting on her to bring it all, and then some.

You can get tickets for Captain Marvel, now, before it hits theaters on March 8th.
