We’ve all seen the wave of torture porn movies (“Saw”, “Hostel”, “Captivity”, and “Wolf Creek”). Let’s not forget the “masked men in the night” movies (“Friday the 13th”, “Halloween”, and “Texas Chainsaw Massacre”). Today’s standards need new and constantly evolving ways of frightening people. Let’s give home invasion a run for the money. In the tradition of “Vacancy,” and “The Strangers” (currently in theaters,) the movie “Funny Games” grabs you tight and doesn’t let go.

DVD Review: Charlie Wilson’s War

It is difficult to properly tell a roughly based true story about the predecessor to today’s American involvement overseas. Everyone knows what is going on in the Middle East today. Does everyone know how it all started? This tale follows an alcoholic, womanizing congressman named Charlie Wilson…

DVD Review: Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem

The first Alien vs. Predator movie that came out a few years back lacked in many areas. It was rated PG-13 to draw in the younger crowds. The setting of the film was in Antarctica which left a lot to be imagined. This time around the directing team known as the brothers Strauss made up for those aspects ten fold. They kicked it up a notch by making it an R rated film, filled with gruesome violence.

DVD Review: In The Name Of The King

In the tradition of Lord of the Rings, and other medieval time period films, In the Name of the King doesn’t hold back on the action whatsoever. The only bad thing this movie had going for it was Uwe Boll sitting in the director’s chair. Voted by many famous movie critics as the worst film director of all time, he somehow keeps getting work. He’s known for his movies that were poorly adapted from video games…
