Final ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Casting Made

With Christopher Meloni leaving Law and Order: SVU over contract issues, and Mariska Hargitay taking a limited role on the show, many casting rumors have been going around for the show. At one point Jennifer Love Hewitt was rumored for the show, but that has fallen through but it has now been confirmed that Kelli Giddish (Cold Case) and Danny Pino (Cold Case) will join the cast. It has also been confirmed that Ice-T and Richard Belzer will reprise their roles on the show.

Executive producer/creator Dick Wolf had the following to say about the casting, “I’m very pleased that we have two amazing actors joining the cast. I know this combination will give us the opportunity to explore the world of SVU with new eyes.”
