The CW Developing ‘The Notebook’ TV Series

The CW is currently developing a TV series based on the popular Nicholas Sparks tale, The Notebook.

The news was announced today, with Entertainment Weekly being the first to report. The new series will be produced by Nicholas Sparks Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television., with Sparks serving as executive producer, as well as Theresa Park (The Best of Me, The Longest Ride).

The Notebook was released in 2004 as a film and starred Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams as Noah and Allie, two young lovers from different worlds with an undeniable attraction for one another that joins them together for life.

The TV show’s official logline is below (via EW):

“This series will follow the romantic journey of the two beloved central characters Noah and Allie, at the outset of their blossoming relationship as they build their lives and their future together against the backdrop of the racial politics, economic inequities, and social mores of post-World War II of the late 1940s in North Carolina.”

So what do you think? Do we need a Notebook TV series that definitely probably won’t star Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams? Talk to us in the comments below!
