What’s filming in Atlanta now in January 2016? What’s heading to Atlanta? From the All Eyez on Me signs covering the city to when your favorite Atlanta filmed shows are coming back from hiatus, we have all the local filming news!
Most of the filming in Atlanta went on break over the holidays, but a number of projects have already started back up. AEOM signs have been spotted all over town, and we hear that many TV shows shot here will begin production again on Monday. Get all the details in our first filming roundup for 2016 below!

January 2016 Atlanta Filming: Coming Soon
- Tyler Perry’s A Madea Halloween is filming in Atlanta.
- The Baywatch movie will be filming in Savannah this March and April. The film stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Zac Efron.
- Miles Teller’s latest project, Thank You for Your Service will film in Atlanta
- Edgar Wright’s new film Baby Driver will film in Atlanta (The film stars Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey, Lily James, and Ansel Elgort)
- It’s confirmed that the new Spider-Man will film in Atlanta
- Donald Glover’s FX comedy Atlanta was picked up for a full season and will film here in the near future
- Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will film in Atlanta beginning in February 2016 (the exact date is rumored to be Feb 15th)
- Will Packer is developing a TV show for NBC called Buckhead, and that will be filmed, you guessed it, in Buckhead!
- Daniel Radcliffe’s new film Young Americans is heading to Atlanta to film
January 2016 Atlanta Filming Spotted: Currently in Production
- All Eyez on Me (Tupac Biopic) was spotted filming in Douglasville off Fairburn Rd today. Earlier this week signs were spotted on 10th Street pointing on to HWY 75/85, Peachtree Road at Piedmont, East Paces at Piedmont, and on West Peachtree and 13th Street.
