Missing seeing Bridgerton‘s Regé-Jean Page? You’re not alone, we are too! But the good news is that Netflix has a new heist movie in the works starring Regé-Jean Page. And there’s a pretty amazing team behind the project.

Noah Hawley, best know for his work on FX series Fargo and Legion (he created both series), will be writing and directing the heist thriller, which is currently untitled. Also involved in the upcoming Netflix film, Angela Russo-Otstot (sister of the Russo brothers). She will be an executive producer alongside Page. And, also producing are, AGBO founders – Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, and Mike Larocca.

Larocca commented on the project saying, “AGBO was originally founded to allow us to collaborate with artists we greatly respect and admire. We are very happy to continue to fulfill that pledge by supporting this new film from Noah Hawley and Regé-Jean Page.”

Who is Regé-Jean Page?

If you’re not a fan of Shonda Rhimes incredible Netflix’s series Bridgerton (think Gossip Girl meets Jane Austen), then you might not yet be familiar with Regé-Jean Page. The actor is best know for his work as Simon Basset in the project, and he will be seen next in the upcoming Netflix film, The Gray Man.

The Gray Man is said to be Netflix’s most expensive production to date. The film, which is based on the novel by Mark Greaney and is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The Russo brothers are, of course, best known for their work in the MCU.

The Gray Man, which is set in Europe, follows a CIA operative-turned-assassin looks to evade mysterious forces as he tries to save the lives of the daughters who don’t know he exists. Also starring int he project is Ana de Armas, Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, and Billy Bob Thornton.

Regé-Jean Page will also star in the upcoming 2023 film Dungeons & Dragons, starring Sophia Lillis, Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, and Hugh Grant. (Anyone else feeling like Joe Manganiello should also be in this? Sorry, I digress…)

But Back to Netflix’s Heist Film!

While at this point, we only know that Regé-Jean Page is attached to the heist film. We don’t know in what capacity or what role as details are still very much under wraps. As of November 2021, the production status of the project is still in early development. And we’ll keep you posted on FanBolt as more details surface!

When it comes to the release date for the project, we are still waiting for Netflix to make an official announcement. Since filming hasn’t begun yet, our best guess is that this one won’t make it to Netflix until 2023. But it could be later. So let’s cross our fingers for 2023! We’ll keep you posted as more details surface on Noah Hawley’s and Regé-Jean Page’s heist film for Netflix!
