Conan Wants Severance for Staff

It seems like the rumours of Conan wanting to take care of his staff were true. Sources are saying that the final negotiating point in the talks with NBC is an extra $600,000 in severance money he wants for his staff. These sources say that NBC are willing to put up something extra as long as this is Conan’s final demand. It has been reported that NBC has already offered to pay out $7.5 million to the staff, plus an additional $4.5 million to the executive producer. Even with this payout, NBC still expects to make money on the deal as they could save as much as $45 million if Jay Leno goes back to The Tonight Show.

  1. A lot of people wouldn’t worry about their staff. Conan paid his people out of his own pocket during the writer’s strike. We should all be so lucky as to work for someone so caring.
