1965 – The Rolling Stones released their classic song “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”

1965 – The Beatles were honored with their MBE (Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) awards. (John Lennon returned his in 1969, to protest the UK’s involvement in the Vietnam War).

1972 – John Lennon and Yoko Ono released the album Some Time In New York City.

1989 – Graceland, Elvis Presley’s palatial estate, opened the Autoland Museum, which showcased over 20 automobiles owned by The King.
