Lea Michele is the Latest ‘Glee’ Star to Fall Victim to Twitter Hoax
First, Chris Colfer was the target of Twitter hackers and now, his co-star Lea Michele has become the latest Glee star to fall victim to pranksters after hackers took over her Twitter page and posted a false pregnancy message.
The star’s fans were stunned to learn she was expecting her first child – so close to the first anniversary of ex-boyfriend Cory Monteith’s death – on Frida, in a message that read: “Before this gets out to the media, I would like to announce to my fans that I am pregnant #BabyBoy.”
A representative for Michele has since shot down the story, telling the New York Daily News the message is a hoax.
The post on Michele’s page came a day after her co-star Chris Colfer’s Twitter account was hacked – pranksters posted a message suggesting he had been fired from the hit show due to personal issues.
His rep and show producers quickly dismissed the story as a hoax, while Colfer was in mid-air on a flight.
