Universal Studios Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights 24 Opens Tonight

It’s that time of year! Some of the best haunted houses in the country are opening their doors this week and next week, and I happen to be headed down to Orlando to check out one of my personal favorites – Halloween Horror Nights 24 at Universal Studios Orlando!

Halloween Horror Nights 24 opens tonight and features not only John Carpenter’s Halloween and AMC’s The Walking Dead – but in total eight fully-immersive and startlingly-real haunted houses, two live shows and multiple scare zones filled with hundreds of horrifying “scareactors!”

The event which takes place select nights between now and November 1, has been named “Nation’s Best Halloween Event” for not one or two – but SEVEN straight years. The award comes from Amusement Today’s Golden Ticket Awards, and it happens to be one of the most prestigious awards in the amusement industry.

Planning your trip to Orlando yet? If you’re still not sold, or if you want to check out opening night and can’t make it – be sure to follow me on Twitter. I’ll have tons of updates coming from Universal Studios this afternoon and tonight!

This year’s Halloween Horror Night experiences are inspired by:

  • John Carpenter’s classic horror film, Halloween
  • AMC’s hit series, The Walking Dead
  • The cult sci-fi franchise AVP: Alien vs. Predator
  • Robert Rodriguez’s chilling television series From Dusk Till Dawn
  • Universal Picture’s upcoming film Dracula: Untold
  • Universal Picture’s The Purge: Anarchy
  • SyFy’s Face Off – In the Flesh
  • Even more original content

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at HalloweenHorrorNights.com/orlando. Guests can also book a Halloween Horror Nights hotel and ticket package that includes event tickets, park-to-park tickets and accommodations at a Universal Orlando hotel so you can stay right in the midst of all the action. Due to the event’s popularity, tickets for weekend nights are expected to sell out and should be purchased well in advance.
