NBC to Create ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ Miniseries
NBC has announced that they’ve green-lit a four-hour miniseries adaptation of Rosemary’s Baby. The miniseries will begin filming in Paris in January and is based on the 1967 novel by Ira Levin, with Scott Abbott and James Wong writing the screenplay. Agnieszka Holland (Europa, Europa) will direct and the casting process has begun.
The series was previously made into a film directed by Roman Polanski; the story centers on a young married couple who move into a Paris apartment that has a haunted past. After getting pregnant, the wife becomes increasingly suspicious that both her husband and their neighbors will have ulterior motives when her child is born.
No word on when the event might air.
