Demi Lovato has opened up about her relationship with Wilmer Valderrama, revealing the couple bonded while shooting a public service announcement to encourage fellow Latinos to vote.
Lovato has been romantically linked to Valderrama on and off for the past four years, but the singer has only recently started to talk about their relationship.
Now Lovato, 22, has recalled the moment the pair first met in 2010, admitting she was smitten as soon as she laid eyes on the That ’70s Show star. Valderrama, then 30, praised her for moving away from her Disney teen background to speak about politics, and his charm immediately won her over.
She tells AndPop.com, “I went to his house for a PSA shoot for Voto Latino. I was like, ‘This guy is so attractive’. We started talking.”
And Lovato is just as enamored with him now as she was then.
She adds, “He is very good looking. He is my absolute best friend in the whole world that I happen to be attracted to.”
Lovato reportedly dated Valderrama for several months following her 2010 split from Joe Jonas, and they rekindled their romance last year.
The actor showed his support for his girl this week when he cheered her on at her concert at New York’s Barclays Center on Monday night.
He shared a snap of Lovato onstage with his Twitter.com fans on Tuesday morning, and added the caption, “Last night hard work & dedication earned u a stage that undeniable belongs 2 u… Beyond proud, Te amo mi (I love you) @ddlovato.”
