George Clooney Was Gifted with Extravagant Pre-Wedding Dinner in Venice

George Clooney was presented with a $4,800 feast on the night before his nuptials in Venice, Italy as a wedding present from a local restaurant owner.

The superstar took six friends, including actor Matt Damon and Cindy Crawford’s husband Rande Gerber, out to dinner to celebrate his final night as a single man prior to marrying Amal Alamuddin in September.

The star-studded group ate at Ristorante Da Ivo, and the restaurant’s manager, Giovanni Fracassi, has now revealed he refused to let Clooney and his guests pay for their food.

He tells Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, “No, he didn’t pay for his night, I didn’t want him to. (The tip was) not much, like you would do for a friend… You could see he was happy.”

What do you think could run up a $4,800 tab at a restaurant? How come rich people who can afford the expensive stuff always get it for free? Leave your thoughts on Clooney and Co.’s lavish pre-wedding meal in the comments below!
