‘Girl Meets World’ Star Peyton Meyer Offers Words of Wisdom to Fans

Girl Meets World star Peyton Meyer visited budding actors to give them words of wisdom and inspiration during a visit to the Winnetka Community House in Illinois this week.

The Disney star, known for his role as Lucas Friar in the hit series Girl Meets World, stopped by to speak with kids and teens about his journey as a young actor, as well as offer some words of advice and encouragement. According to the Chicago Tribune, Meyer’s audience asked him about “his process of learning lines, how he handles high school and his career, what it’s like to be recognized on the street, and what he likes best about being on screen.”

The actor may only be 16-years-old, but starting his career young means he’s picked up some valuable life lessons along the way. “Never let the rejection ever get to you,” he told the students. “You’ve just got to be yourself. You’re talking to regular people, so just be yourself.”

Another piece of advice he left with his young fans? “Enjoy school…You’re with your friends all day, so just enjoy it.”
