The first official trailer for the Atlanta-filmed sci-fi movie, The 5th Wave, has been released, and we have to be honest, it’s not looking too good for us humans.
The movie is based on the best-selling young adult trilogy by Rick Yancey and stars Chloe Grace Moretz as the story’s protagonist Cassie. In the trailer we see that aliens have begun invading Earth in waves in an attempt to wipe out humanity. They start by knocking out the world’s power grid (1st Wave: Darkness), then move on to causing unnatural natural disasters (2nd Wave: Destruction). The 3rd Wave was infecting humans directly with an unstoppable virus spread throughout humanity and finally, they joined the ranks of humanity, walking among their enemies while virtually undetectable (4th Wave: Invasion). Cassie must race to find her brother while staying alive in the new world.
