In last week’s episode of Girl Meets World, Riley and Maya took a trip through time in order to help Riley find out who she really is, and to give Boy Meets World fans a severe case of nostalgia.
Riley was faced with the fear of never being able to live up to the examples her parents set for her, but was given a dose of reality by taking a trip with Maya through time to see the Cory and Topanga that Boy Meets World fans grew up on.
The episode was a sweet callback to its predecessor, as well as a thinly-veiled way to let audiences know that Girl Meets World is its own thing and will never be Boy Meets World, the same way the Riley is her own person (part Cory, part Topanga) that will never be exactly like either of her parents.
Let’s see where our favorite style picks from the ladies came from:
Riley’s cute yellow shift dress had some great details, from its braided trim accents to its delicate patterns. We also have to say we loved Riley’s cute new ‘do as well. It’s fun anytime we get to see her work the hair her mom gave her.
Riley’s Mustard So Nice Chiffon Dress by Free People is currently on sale for $32.40.
Maya looked very boho chic in her relaxed fit, swing top. The long-sleeved shirt was complete with allover scarf-inspired print and bell-sleeves with a tie-cuff, the ultimate boho look.
Maya’s Free People Long-Sleeve Printed Dazed Swing Top was $54.99 but is currently sold out.
Girl Meets World returns to Disney tomorrow with a new episode, “Girl Meets Rileytown”.
