The ‘Downton Abby’ Trailer Is Finally Here!

Welcome to a new era. The official trailer for Downtown Abbey is finally here to tease the film’s September 20th release!

The critically-acclaimed TV series on which the film is based garnered 3 Golden Globe Awards, 15 Primetime Emmy Awards, 69 Emmy nominations in total, making Downton Abbey the most nominated non-US television show in the history of the Emmys – even earning a Special BAFTA award and a Guinness World Record for the highest critically rated TV show along the way.

The film adaptation, which will continue the story of the Crawley family and their servants, was first announced in July of 2018, and will release on September 13 in the UK, and the US release will follow a week later on September 20.

The film is being written by Julian Fellowes and directed by Brian Percival, and we’ll keep you posted as more details surface!

    I actually need to get caught up. I used to watch it when it aired but it feels like forever ago now. I think I need to start over and get reacquainted with it. I have already been told we are seeing it with my mother-in-law so I’ll be on the lookout for screenings in my area….. otherwise I will still end up going so not really a big difference
