Netflix Original ‘October Faction’ Premieres This Week

October Faction

Do you love sci-fi? Do you have Netflix? Are you looking for a new binge-worthy show?

If you answered yes to all of those questions then you’re in the right place! Netflix is bringing another comic book series to your screens with October Faction. October Faction will be based on a comic book series of the same name written by Steve Niles and Damien Worm. The series follows former monster hunters Frederick Allen and his wife Deloris, as well as their children Geoff and Vivian.

The comic book description states that Frederick is trying to put his past behind him, but his children are trying to join. Of course, ghosts from his past (quite literally) are coming back. In the series, the parents are hiding a big secret from their children – the fact that they are monster hunters. The series will closely follow the comic book series, but there’s bound to be differences here and there.

What Will Season One Bring?

The show touches on a lot of “family drama” and political topics such as racism, homophobia, and marriage issues. Although these issues will be touched, the sci-fi aspects and monsters will not come short. Gabriel Darku, who plays Geoff Allen, states that werewolves, warlocks, vampires, and ghosts are just some of the monsters that we will see in the first season. Season one of October Faction will unravel the lives of the Allen family and begin to tell their origins. If you were/are a fan of Riverdale, Supernatural, Men in Black, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, etc. then you will more than likely be a fan of October Faction.

Netflix recently dropped the first exclusive look into the lives of the Allen family. The trailer starts off with Frederick and Deloris’ house with a room filled with what seems to be “normal” things. The room is actually full of secrets with a hidden shelf full of guns and a clock that scans their wrists. A woman is later shown on a television screen in the house saying she needs her “top agents” aka the Allens. Just from the trailer, it’s easy to see that the show is bringing together a little comedy and a lot of paranormal – take a look below!

October Faction premieres Thursday, January 23rd on Netflix! Let us know what you think of the show! Are you going to watch it? Let us know in the comments below.
