When I saw the trailer for Sean Penn’s new film, ‘Flag Day’ and heard that some of the music was written by Eddie Vedder (of Pearl Jam, not that I needed to tell anyone that, I would hope), I could not wait! Not only for the movie, as it does look really good, but for the soundtrack to come out as well. Penn and Vedder did such an amazing job collaborating on Penn’s other film, ‘Into the Wild’ and that soundtrack, released in 2007 (actually the debut solo album by Vedder), remains one of my favorites to this day. It is absolutely amazing! So needless to say I jumped at the chance to listen to the soundtrack for ‘Flag Day’ and so far I have not been disappointed. It is definitely growing on me more and more each time I listen to it. This album is a collaboration between Vedder, Cat Power and Glen Hansard and also features vocals by Vedder’s daughter, Olivia.
I have to own up to not knowing anything about Power or Hansard prior to this release (apparently they have been around awhile) but I have to give them credit for putting together some great songs on this album. There is one or two I could do without for various reasons but otherwise this is a great one to listen to. I can’t wait to see how the music is incorporated into the film.

So far I am watching Hit & Run’ on Netflix and am definitely intrigued by it. So far this is really good.

I cannot wait to watch ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ on Hulu! I read the book and it was so good. I hope the series lives up to it!

Currently watching ‘Blood Red Sky’ on Netflix…very early into it so interested in seeing how this turns out.

Well the first session or story about the Sex Magick whatever it was called, was the lady interviewed really the one who pulled it off? Or helped pull off the Circus Circus robbery? I have about 20 minutes left to watch of this one. But also, it seems like the people interviewed are taking it lightly and almost bragging in a way. I am just not sure that I like them glorifying the whole event. Or am I overthinking it?

Is it just horrendous? It looks horrible and I don’t understand why the family would allow the legacy of such classic cartoons go down this path?

So far I have loved both the 1994 and 1978 editions…I can’t to see the origin story!

I just have to say I went and saw ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ in the theater again Tuesday night and this sequel is still just amazing! I even liked it better the second time around! Just picking up the little things this time as far as watching the actors closer and how they respond and the monsters…all just amazing!
