BBC America Debuts New ‘Doctor Who’ Teaser Trailer Featuring Peter Capaldi

The new season of Doctor Who is right around the corner, and BBC America has released an all-new teaser trailer that, after watching, makes Whovians beg the question… who will the Doctor be when he returns?

The trailer is only 16 seconds long, but we get a glimpse of Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor making a fairly concerning request of his companion, Clara Osgood, asking, “Clara, be my pal, tell me, am I a good man?” Unfortunately, Clara seems just as confused about the current state of things as the Doctor, having just witnessed her first regeneration.

The Doctor Who season 8 premiere episode, “Deep Breath,” will air Saturday, Aug. 23, at 8 p.m. ET on BBC America.

The premiere marks Peter’s first full episode for as the Twelfth Doctor, so be sure you don’t miss it! I know I won’t!
