The zombie apocalypse is drawing nearer and nearer to bringing down Los Angeles in AMC’s new series Fear The Walking Dead.

The series, which follows the beginning of the zombie apocalypse that the characters from The Walking Dead are currently braving, premiered to record numbers on Sunday. The show’s pilot episode delivered 10.1 million live/same day viewers, becoming the #1 series premiere in cable television history.

Fear returns this Sunday with a new episode, in which Travis (Cliff Curtis) and Madison (Kim Dickens) begin taking steps to protect their families after realizing that Nick’s (Frank Dillane) “delusions” of people eating one another are actually a reality.

Judging from the photos below, Travis will travel to get his son to safety, while Nick continues to try not to freak out upon realizing what’s going on around him isn’t in his head after all.
