Steven Spielberg has several potential “next films” on his plate, but a robots-turned-bad movie has emerged as a front runner.

The film is called ‘Robopocalypse’ and it’s being adapted by Drew Goddard (Cloverfield) from an as-yet-unfinished novel by Daniel H. Wilson. Wilson holds a Ph.D. in Robotics and wrote several books on the topic, including the Paramount -optioned ‘How to Survive A Robot Uprising’.

Also being considered for Spielberg’s next film are ‘War Horse’, ‘Gershwin’, ‘The 39 Clues’ and a “Lincoln Civil War” project.
