Christopher Michael Pratt was born on the 21st of June 1979. in Virginia, Minnesota. His mother is Norwegian and was a grocery store employee. And his father was in the mining industry and unfortunately passed in 2014 due to multiple sclerosis.

Pratt grew up in Lake Stevens, Washington, and attended Lake Stevens High School. He participated in competitive wrestling while in school and was even quite good at it. However, when he started community college, he eventually dropped out after just a couple of months.

In 1998, Pratt was working as a waiter in Maui when Rae Dawn Chong, an actress and director, noticed him. She was then working on her first directorial film, Cursed Part 3, which was released in 2000. She cast him in the movie, and the rest would soon become history.

A couple of short years later, Pratt was cast to play Bright Abbott in the TV show Everwood. It was a major role, and he appeared in 89 episodes of the WB series.
