Ryan Gosling’s early roles were mainly on the small screen. He starred in a number of children’s television series, including Goosebumps, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and Ready or Not.

Additionally, he also starred as Hercules in the series Young Hercules. The series lasted for 50 episodes, airing from 1998 to 1999.

In 2000, he was cast in Remember the Titans, a biopic that starred Denzel Washington. The film grossed $136 million worldwide on its $30 million budget.

A year later, he got his first starring role in The Believer. While the film was well-received by critics and fans, it did not perform well at the box office, earning only $416,925 in the US despite having a budget of $1.5 million.

After having wow’ed audiences in 2016’s La La Land, it’s not surprising to learn that Gosling is actually a talented guitarist and jazz singer. In 2009, Gosling’s band, Dead Man Bones, released their first album, where Gosling shared the spotlight with fellow band member Zach Shields.

Gosling, who goes by the name of “Baby Goose” when he performs, has also recorded songs for the soundtracks of his movies La La Land and Blue Valentine.

Gosling co-owns a Beverly Hills restaurant named Tagine since 2004. It is a Moroccan-themed establishment that he co-owns with his friend, executive chef Ben Benameur. In 2021, Gosling signed a brand partnership to become an ambassador for TAG Heuer.
