Pedro Pascal

Pedro Pascal has signed on to star in the upcoming horror mystery, Weapons.

The Warner Brothers project is being directed by Zach Cregger, the actor turned filmmaker behind the surprise horror hit Barbarian. And while plot details are still scarce, the movie is being described as a “multi and inter-related story horror epic.”

Movie fans can expect it to be in a similar vein as the 1999 flick Magnolia, which was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and starred Tom Cruise and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.

In a production listing that went out in March, it also noted that the film will center around witchcraft and missing children.

Additionally, the listing had also mentioned that Rooney Mara was being considered for the lead. However, her involvement has not been confirmed.

It’s unclear at the present who Pascal, 48, will play in the film. However, production is currently scheduled to begin this July in Los Angeles. Though, it’s unknown if the writers’ strike will impact the movie’s shooting schedule.

Upcoming Pedro Pascal Movies

In the meantime, Pedro Pascal has no shortage of coming projects. The Mandalorian star is keeping busy with five additional films that are in the work. Those titles include Drive Away Dolls, which is scheduled to premiere later this year.

It was also recently announced that Pascal had signed on to star in Gladiator 2, a continuation of the story from the 2000 Ridley Scott film. Pascal will star alongside Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, Joseph Quinn, and Denzel Washington in the project.
